The Western Cape has 1 672 schools across 137 cities and towns. In order to help these schools save millions of litres of water every month, the Shoprite Group has launched the Smart Water Meter Challenge.

We piloted the Dropula Smart Water Meter at Hector Peterson Secondary, saving over 3 million litres of water in only 3 months. Now we’re installing 100 Smart Water Meters at 100 schools across the Western Cape.

Just one school can save enough water per day to cover 115 people’s daily water allowance.

So imagine what difference we could make if more schools SIGNED UP to be part of the Smart Water Challenge!

We’re also challenging corporates to PLEDGE for the installation of Smart Water Meters so that we can reach every school in the Western Cape.

Every 100 Smart Water Meters would save enough water per day
